Spanish practice with a strong audio focus

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - when you are learning a new language, the only way to gain fluency is to practice. A lot of practice! All that memorization can become a little boring though, so the more variety you have when learning, the better.

One way to mix things up when learning Spanish is to download a program like Spanish Whiz. The best thing about Spanish Whiz is its focus on spoken language and its high-quality audio support, something that helps it stand out from the competition. You can do dictations, listen to correct pronunciations and even record your own version to compare to a native. Spanish Whiz is definitely going to suit beginners best - in the trial version, the practice options become more limited as you move from Level 1 to Level 2 and 3.

The Spanish Whiz interface is not very slick, but it is easy to use. You chose your level and decide if you want to practice your spoken or written Spanish, choosing from dictation lessons, sound games and grammar drills. There are a small number of configuration options for Spanish Whiz. They are not extensive, but the ability to password-protect the program and modify the in-built dictionary are nice touches.

Spanish Whiz isn't fantastic, but in the battle to learn a new language, every little helps.
